Am enjoying it quite a bit at the moment. Anyone else played this? Whats your opinion of it?
Any recommendations for other strategy games too? Makes a nice change from shmupping.

Well MT i'm with you! It's been a while since i've played it, but I thought it was fab!
Ikaruga review now up in PLASMA BLOSSOM
Played it all the way through, enjoyed every minute of it - the battle sequences while long winded, really draw you into the game. Enjoyed this more than the Front Mission games. Underrated and little known.

Been meaning to get disgaea for a little while now, to see what all the fuss is about
Havnt heard of the Front Mission games before, will have to check em out.
With Ring of Red i'm surprised the long mission length hasnt pissed me off yet. It means I only get one attempt each day, sometimes less, but am ok with that
I also thought there wasnt a mid stage save option, but even if there was I probably wouldnt use it, as I've always hated coming back to a strategy game midway through a level. It keeps me from overplaying it

In Ring of Red when preparing for a stage I find the easiest way for setting up formations is to remove all the troops first then start all over again. Is there a quick way to do this? Currently I select one character then go through all the troops to remove them from the other characters. One tactic I'm using right now is putting infantry with co-op and rapid fire in the anti-afws with anti troop attacks with the crew. This makes it much easier for the normal afws and long range to kill without taking much damage to troops or machine once the enemie troops have been reduced. I find putting the shooter troops in the front line dangerous unless the enemies troops are mostly destroyed. Although when the shooters are in the front line they are quite destructive
