First PSP trojan

Apparently this trojan has been cloaked as a program to change the PSP's firmware from 2.0 to 1.5. Guess some hacker saw people downloading the genuine patch and created a fake version to screw them over.

So be careful on what you download, especially since this also voids your warranty at the same time.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Scary stuff. I downgraded my PSP without any hassles, but it makes you wonder about the sad malignment cunts out there that would do this sort of thing in the first place. Like I said scary stuff!

Maybe if Sony wasn't such tightwads and embraced the PSP's homebrew potenial, then we wouldn't have such problems.

Kind of interesting - imagine a world where your PSP gets a virus just from walking near the wrong person on a train. Could become the ultimate way to launch viruses into the wild, untraceably.

Maybe if Sony didn't insist on making the PSP everything except a video game console, then there wouldn't be such problems.

I'd rather have firmware updates than having to buy new accessories or other systems.
Don't hold grudges. GET EVEN.
