I have several questions about Blue and White's Blue Sabers games, but I haven't been able to find much information. If anyone could answer my questions I would really appreciate it.
1) If Blue Sabers is the second game in the series, then what is the first? It has the subtitle of Blue Wings Part 3, but I couldn't find anything on a game with that name. That doesn't make sense either, because that subtitle would imply that there are 2 games that come before Blue Sabers. Does anyone know what they are?
2) According to this link there is a 4th support plane in Operation Orbital Hammer, as well as other planes aside from the original 3. How come they are nowhere to be seen on the plane select screen when I start the game?: http://wiki.komica.org/wiki3/?Blue%20Sa ... %20Hammer-

The previous game (Blue Wings 2: Blue Knights) was released for X68000, can't remember where the first game was released though.1) If Blue Sabers is the second game in the series, then what is the first? the 3 planes with red color instead of blue (Red Lancers) all of them have swapped loadout from the original Blue Sabers counterparts, 3 planes from the X68000 game Blue Wings 2; Beta Original and Beta Custom, Gamma Custom and Epsilon with 3 different variants with green color (Green Wizards) and 3 variants of the final boss plane "Sardyne". Therefore according to the game files there are 16 planes in total.

Thanks for all the info! Now if only the game wouldn't crash after stage 4, I could attempt to unlock everythingGespenst wrote:The previous game (Blue Wings 2: Blue Knights) was released for X68000, can't remember where the first game was released though.1) If Blue Sabers is the second game in the series, then what is the first? The wiki said you need to clear the all 11-stage SP mode with the corresponding plane to unlock a new plane. The SP mode itself can be unlocked by 1CC-ing all routes in normal mode. The new support craft will be unlocked once clearing SP mode with each support craft.Spoiler

Have you installed the latest/v1.1c patch?Furry Fox Jet Pilot wrote: Thanks for all the info! Now if only the game wouldn't crash after stage 4, I could attempt to unlock everything, seriously what is up with that and is there any way to fix it?
Spoiler
installing the patch may also glitches the game in which it will unlock all locked plane & support plane from start. The only way to fix it is by running the ooh_flag_init.exe from the download page
Anyway, the same wiki mentions the first game was also released for X68000 but I still haven't found any other infos about it yet.
Re: Blue Sabers Series Questions
update: turns out simply 1CC-ing with any plane on normal mode is enough to unlock a new plane

The original game in the series was ''Blue Wings: The Special Airforce'' for X68000
