Las Vegas this weekend

Post by GaijinPunch »

Anyone else gamble? I'm staying at the Bellagio.
I'm thinking the $2/$5 No Limit Table for the most part. I'm tempted to try the $1000+$60 mini-tournament. Only 5 people place, but it's a good payout. I've got $300 in backing if I want to try it.

Just go to the arcade in New York New York and give the ESPGaluda cabinet some love. At $0.25 a credit, you might as well lose your money slowly while having a lot of fun. If I ever go to Vegas that's where you'll find me.

I play online at PokerStars, but I've not yet managed to make it off the microlimit tables and cheap Sit-and-gos. I do reasonably well there, but I have a relatively small bankroll (if I was so inclined I could probably be playing 3/6 limit games, but I'm trying not to blow a bunch of money on poker.

Screw limit. It sucks... you will drain your wallet faster playing that than NL. I've pissed away a lot online this year, but have done okay offline, so I guess it evens out. Mainly going to have fun this weekend, and I might give ESPGaluda some love.

I've actually done reasonably well with limit by playing tight on fairly weak tables (most of the increase in my bankroll comes from SnGs, but I've not done so well on those lately.) I've basically donated in the few times I've played the NL cash games, and probably need to do some reading so I know what I'm doing there. My main problem is staying in my bankroll, since trying to move up from the nickel-and-dime tables takes forever (I'd probably be OK on the $.25/.50 tables, but I don't quite have the bankroll to be secure there yet. As I said, if I wanted I could deposit enough to have a bankroll for 3/6, but I'm trying to work my way up from an initial $75 deposit. I do that for the challenge, since the money is pretty much insignificant to me.)

What site do you play on anyway?

I play on Paradise Poker. I play some NL, but I try to play $20 and $30 SNGs for the most part. I like the action. I'm a very impatient person, and I wind up pissing away too much money, so I'm off those for a while. Of course, the big tourneys are always fun if you make it to the final table. I got 4th in a 110 man tournament the other day.

You sound like you should play on Bodog. There's quite a bit of action there thanks to the sportsbook, and they have a bottomless reload bonus.
