R-Type 2k (made with RPGmaker 2000) help........

I've found an R-Type clone make with an RPG maker here:

However the exe file doesn't want to run when unzipped.

Then I grabbed the RPG maker program here:
http://www.thaiware.com/main/info.php?id=3288

and after opening the Rtype game it looks incomplete, yet there are screenshots of the game working.

Does anyone know how to run this beast?

My best advice would be to not even bother. RPGMaker was not made for shmups.

I just grabbed RPG maker myself.. nothing wrong with having another program to fool around with.


Anyway... i was interested to see if the R-Type2k would work, and i couldn't get it to work either. Only thing i got to work was the music, which is pretty cool.

Yeah, I agree, this is a hassle, but I'm into collecting pc shmups BIG TIME. Any quality demo is worth me tracking down, and with it being R-Type to boot, that's just icing on the cake.

Exactly because it RPGmaker wasn't made for shmups that this is interesting... I would like to see how he make a shmup using it.

It's like that R-9 character made with Mugen... great stuff
