I recently bought a Sony BVM D20F1U, and I'm trying to connect my rgb modded snes to it. I'm using csync and taking the output from my sync strike and plugging it into the monitor. I used the Shift setting to turn on sync and in Input Configuration I switched it from internal to external sync, but the picture still scrolls horizontally as if there is no sync.
I searched through threads here a little bit and there have been two other people with the same problem of their BVM not accepting external sync but there didn't seem to be a way to fix it other than using a BNC T connector to connect sync and green to the green input and then switching to internal sync.

Also when I play games in 480p there is a green tint on the edge of some colors. Is there a way to fix this?
Here's what it looks like http://imgur.com/a/kk8YG
edit: turns out the 480p color issue was just from not having terminators on the outputs. I've tried a couple different things and I still can't get my snes to work on it though. Could it be because I'm running it through the sync strike before going into the BVM? It worked fine that way on my PVM but I heard the BVM doesn't like stripped sync?
