Scorpius for X68000

Post by ST Dragon »

I just discovered this today...
Scorpius for the X68000 & does it look cool?!

A mixture of TFIII, Gradius & Sol Feace.

Look at that cool worm Boss ala Gradius III

And the cool lava level... By the way, does the lava scroll like the background in the TFIII fire stage?

And the ending... poetry!

There are so many shooters out there waiting to be discovered...

That looks pretty cool. Rather Bio inspired which is getting a bit infrequent these days.

Yeah, not to mention stylish.

I've got to set up an X68000 Emu & get into the JPN computers realm.
As I've heard that this baby had some of the best arcade perfect conversions.
Not to mention the cool shooters available for it!

Sol Feace & Phalanx are supposed to be better than the SEGA CD & SNES versions.

well ive just palyed it and it not that good
the controlls are abit lose and abit to fast.
you do get 3 diffrent ships to pick when at the start pritty much the standard
normal fire, 3 way and laser
all ships have a craperling hook whitch is not that usefull and tends to get you killed as you need to more the ship around to posisition it in the right place, and as with the lose controlls that you end up dying.
not bad looking tho.

i wonder if there any othere oringanal shmups on the machine.

i do recomend on the sharpx6800
rtype
gradius
and all the other arcade convertion whitch are of a very high standared most of the perfect.
man we got ripped of in this country with the amega and st.
the sharp is miles ahead of them.

if there any other you can think off ill give themago and let you know what there like
