Gefen VGA to DVI scaler plus information needed

Hello guys, I am thinking of buying one of these but I don't know which revision is better. I found these two :

Can anybody enlight me about this?

The bottom one is much older and limited in it's resolutions.

You simply want one that actually says "VGA to DVI (or HDMI) Scaler Plus". These are still available in at least two different color schemes (grey and blue/black), but are otherwise identical.

Fudoh, do you think the VGA to DVI scaler plus is superior than the VGA to HDMI scaler Plus when it comes to Dreamcast? I remember you saying something about a glitch in the DVI variant being beneficial to image quality?

I just said I never tested the HDMI version myself, so I cannot say if it can be tricked into seeing the full DC resolution. This requires a phase/clock setting which cannot be set manually, but only by activating the auto function.

on the input side ? Yes, these work fine.
