Double Wings for MAME

Post by shariar07 »

I really like how this game plays from the screenshots, more of a Raiden DX clone, but with 3 different planes here are some pics the game it is non-working. Also did Wyvern Wings ever got dumped to MAME?

Nope, it's on our "Most Wanted" (http://www.mameworld.net/gurudumps/Dump ... index.html)

As far as I know it is dumped and the reason it's still not working after the DECO 102 decryption is because it has an additional protection.

If you attended the California Extreme (CAE) 2003 or 2004 shows, Sacramento Amusements had dedicated vertical screen-oriented arcade cabinets showing off Wyvern Wings. At the CAE '03 show, you could buy a dedicated Wyvern Wings arcade cabinet complete with full-sized marquee sign for a mere $400.00 USD! At the CAE '04 show, you could buy a brand new Wyvern Wings PCB kit complete with factory box for $350.00 USD! (I was thinking about buying one but then decided that it wasn't worth paying that much for one...I doubt if I'll ever see one at that price again though.)

Wyvern Wings does have a 8-way digital joystick with 3-button layout setup. It does have a very cool eye-catchy intro opening to draw the casual & hard-core shmup fans into checking it out. It was a Korean developed vertical screen-oriented arcade shmup PCB.

None of the above, probably some custom Hyperstone-based Semicom hw.

Yes Double Wings looks nice. I'm quite fond of Mitchel games.
This is one more of those unknown shooters that you only get a chance to play through emulation...
I’ve definitely never seen this before.

Let's hope it gets fully emulated soon.
