Circuit to apply color correction on NTSC composite signal?

Post by keropi »

Hiya!

Anyone knows of a schematic to make a circuit that applies color correction to a composite NTSC signal?
My (PAL) crt sets have HUE/TINT settings but they don't change much as the range is limited. Sets do support NTSC U/J signals but it is assumed to need little to no correction

Reason is that I have a XT clone with a clone CGA card and composite out has wrong colors... (left is correct, right is what I get)

passing composite through the framemeister and messing with HUE (around 64) almost fixes the issue (at least it's close to original and does not bother me...)

My "problem" is that I want to use a small 14" Sony trinitron display with the machine, it's one of the later models so it's ntsc-aware but color correction is limited.
Maybe I can make an external circuit and pass corrected composite to the tv? If such a thing exists that is...

Thanks in advance for any info/help!!!! :)
