I need to connect stereo devices (SNES, N64, PSX, etc.) to my Commodore 1702 video monitor that only has composite mono sound output. I understand a Y cable is not the proper way to do this. I also understand that a proper cable can be cheaply and easily built with a soldering iron, some resistors, and a few minutes.
However, I want a plug and play product solution to this issue.
Yes, I have searched. I did find some solutions, but the threads are dated. Maybe there are now more products for this purpose?
The cheapest product I have found is the Monacor SMC-1. I wanted to know if anyone knows of any other product(s) that is/are capable of doing what I need in a similar or preferably lower price range.
