Framemeister + TurboGrafX - RGB MOD - no Picture

Post by BlutIstGut »

Hello,
after a lot of reading and afterweards buying the equipment i now have a problem with my Framemeister.
My System is:
XRGBMini Framemeister
Sony KDL 50W656

Every Console I connected up to now works:
SNES + RGB Cable - Good Picture
MegaDrive + RGB Cabel - Just Pervect
Playstation 1 + RGB - Very Good
Playstation 2 + Componetn - Very Good
NES - Composite - mediocre
PS 3, PS 4, Xbox One, WiiU, WII directly to the TV

Today i got my new TurboGrafX 16 with RGB Mod - the Cable runs directly out of the Box.

Tested it with my Framemeister - Blue Screen "No Picture" - Sound is there.
With RGB on my old 55 cm Grundig CRT - very good Picture - sys RGB on the Screen on Connection, so I think the Cable ist correctly wired for RGB
So i feared testing it directly via RGB - Scart on my Sony - Done it - Whoa - near perfect Picture, but of course no Scanlines..

So i do have to mention all my Consoles are Pal - I am from Austria - except for the TurboGrafX.

So what could the Problem with the connection to the Framemeister be?

Have you tried to fiddle with the sync settings?

I had exactly the same problem.

Using this fixed it: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Micomsoft-XRGB-M ... 25a0dfb126

There's also a female Scart version if that's what you need.

Thanx for your answers, last nigth i had some time for testing.

Fiddling with the sync didnt change anything - but i really dont know what to change so i tried.

For the Cables, i own an EuroScart - Female to Framemeister Cable with built in SyncStripper form RetroCalbes.co.uk, so I dont know if there is a difference to the Cable u listet above, maybe u can tell me.

I crammed out my od DVDO IScan HD, pooped it ub via Euroscart YUV - Cable and also got picture, but it was much worse than directly into the Sony (a lot sharber, with Fast Screen Deinterlacing turned off, gives u 1 frame lag, but that would the framemeister also do...).

Regard

Does your EuroScart female to Framemeister cable have a piggy-back power connector that plugs into the Mini?

Probably the sync stripper is not getting enough power then, happens all the time. Disconnect the sync stripper internally or buy one of the adapters with the piggy-back power. I'd go for the latter as I still believe some systems benefit from having the sync cleaned.
