Using the internal patterns you can already give it a calibration run to tune convergence and geometry.

Freaking awesome, congrats! You've now got probably the best 20" CRT ever made. :D

I think the internal patterns are on channel 90-99.

Thanks :D
I found the internal patterns. The screen needs to be calibrated just a little bit, to get it centered. Just have to figure out how to do it!

I have to disagree with you in the furniture/art department.

I find the aesthetics of most pro monitors to be very displeasing to the eye, and a blight on thr interior decor.

I have a A20F1 right here and unfortunately I have no room for it in the storage compartment of my building. So I now, very begrudgingly, have to find room for it in my apartement.

Being big and bulky such as it is, I have a hard time finding a spot where it will not draw too much attention to the old eyes. I may well resort to covering it up in time.

Frankly I thought that PVM 2530 that I owned a while back was overall a much nicer looking unit, design wise anyway. Not sure why SONY went away from stylish cabinet designs for their pro line.

The 2530 - and even more so the 2950Q with the less curved tube - have an absolutely iconic design. Probably the best CRT design ever.

I like the look of the BVMs. Its box like appearance expresses strength and quality to me.
