megadrive 1 picture problem

Hi all, i have a problem with my megadrive . When i turn it on the picture is all scrambled( lots of coloured blocks on the screen) the sound works fine and the carts work in other systems. I have cleaned the connector but its still the same, any ideas? Thanks
