Code for service menu doesn't work(Sony kv-36fv300). Help!

Post by FinalBaton »

Hi all
So I tried the procedure that's in the manual and I still can't access the service menu :(

TV off ---> Display ---> 5 ---> Volume up ---> Power on

The TV powers on like usual. No service menu.
Am I missing something? Like, is there a specific source(antenna, etc) that needs to be selected prior or something?

Does Display -> 5 -> Volume down -> Power do anything? One is the service menu, another is a diagnostics menu.

I have a 32-FV310 and both work with the original remote and a universal Sony one... Maybe you're not putting them in quickly enough or aren't aimed closely enough to the IR receiver? Silly suggestions, but nothing in particular needs to be done to allow access into the service menu.

I have an official remote : RM-Y182

I'm pushing the buttons litteraly within a second of each other. And I tried while being real close to the TV.
Still no service menu.

This is frustrating. :( Why doesn't it work? Ughh....
