Lo everyone, i got a modded supercic super famicom (1chip) and bought a ntsc snes scart with csync. The audio passes without issue, but i have no image at all.
I connect the snes to my framemeister by using a euroscart cable to the framemeister.
Basically:
Normal ntsc scart + normal euro framemeister scart = good picture.
Normal ntsc scart + sync stripper built in euro Framemeister scart = only audio.
CSYNC ntsc scart + normal euro framemeister scart = only audio
CSYNC ntsc scart + sync stripper built in euro Framemeister scart = only audio
Does anyone know why i cannot use csync or a sync stripper ?
I got the framemeister euro scarts from retro gaming cables in the uk.
The scart cables came from the woman on ebay everyone keeps recommending.
Thanks.

It looks like you may have the 1chip revision that lacks composite sync output. Not a big issue though, just add a wire from pin 7 of the video encoder to pin 3 of the multiout and you should get video.

I assume the sn on your console starts with S252....., correct? If you open up the console and it says 1CHIP-03 on the motherboard you have the revision that doesn't have c-sync connected to the multiout. As ApolloBoy already said, it's just a matter of connecting the pin from the encoder to the output.

I modded mine via this method:ApolloBoy wrote:It looks like you may have the 1chip revision that lacks composite sync output. Not a big issue though, just add a wire from pin 7 of the video encoder to pin 3 of the multiout and you should get video.

The wire is only about a half-inch long this way, and was pretty simply to do.
Also want to point out the OP can find out if they have the -03 revision by looking on the motherboard itself underneath the front flange (you'll need to obviously unscrew the flange to remove it).

That method works fine ive restored Csync on a few 1-chip-03's that way.FBX wrote:I modded mine via this method:ApolloBoy wrote:It looks like you may have the 1chip revision that lacks composite sync output.
