Hi there!
Are the different PAL versions of the NES only differentiating by the lockout "Nintendo" chip, or are there other things, like the CPU, PPU being different as well?

The CPU, PPU, and crystal are all different in a PAL nes.

Even between PAL regions such as German PAL NES, British PAL NES, Scandinavian PAL NES?
I'm not talking about NTSC Vs. PAL, kind of sounded like that was what you were answering

Re: NES Pal REGION versions differences (chipwise)
I'm not sure if this counts as PAL but... there's this oddity of the Brazilian NES that uses PAL-M (i.e. PAL60 with a weird colour subcarrier frequency). This officialy licensed NES uses NTSC PPU and CPU plus a special circuit to convert the NTSC-coded video signal to PAL-M.
I could not find much info about it but here's a picture of the special circuit board.

Everybody already knows about the French NES, right? It outputs RGB (converted) instead of composite, because France used the SECAM system instead of PAL.
BIG picture of the special RGB connector.
