Maybe he was talking about your other threads. You aren't admitting you're posting in a stupid thread, are you?Captain wrote:Stop posting in stupid new threads please.

Re: Something wonderful has happened
I never denied it. I have a good reason to make threads like this (explaining it would not only result in tldr, but I'd also rather not explain anyway).
This is also why I never go over the "stupidity limit". That is to say, anything I post will either be random, unrelated, immature, etc. But it will never go into full retard territory.
What really annoys me though, is people that post only to say that the thread/some post is bad. What the hell is the point of such a post unless the OP/poster is a newbie and actually needs posting advice? Even then, rarely is advice ever given, only non-constructive criticism.

Because when we click on a thread and it’s a total piece of shit, a bit of our time is wasted. By telling the OP that their thread is shit they will eventually get a clue and stop making shit threads.Captain wrote:What really annoys me though, is people that post only to say that the thread/some post is bad. Is that too difficult to understand? Stop ruining the forum.

I told you respectfully a while back that your brand of humour isn't as distinguished as you may assume it to be. All these threads are just pointless short-lived clutter. If you're going the be funny, be funny - don't be irritating.

I find it vaguely offensive to my beloved 90s to be honest as it seems to imply that all 90s music was dreadful europop 'dance' :p.

This is much more wonderful.
Now the thread is only 50% as crappy as it was.

Re: Something wonderful has happened
Never said the point of it was humor (unless I meant for it for some individual post, not in general). Oh well.
Also, maybe this can be a general "good news" thread? I think we don't have that.

Well it's off to a flying start, so good luck with that.Captain wrote: Also, maybe this can be a general "good news" thread? I think we don't have that.
Perhaps System11 can assign you your own recycle bot to automatically change any thread you create from a total waste of time into a topic with purpose.

Re: Something wonderful has happened
Eh. If you really must now, the purpose of creating these threads is research. I really don't want to explain any more than this.
Once the thread outlives its usefulness, I'd rather turn it into something useful than abandon it.
Also for what its worth I've seen threads get on topic on their 5th pages or so, and then proceed normally from there.

Re: Something wonderful has happened
But what even is the topic. You create these threads and they just have no topic, or aren't something to discuss. What is your goal? What are you trying to do? Fill the forum database with dumb threads? Like, this thread has "Something wonderful has happened" as the title, a inverse A as the only character in the post, and a link to a youtube upload of Running in the 90s. What the fuck topic is that supposed to be? Seriously, tell me, I can't figure it out. Maybe I'm just a simpleton.

How I feel when I'm trying to understand this.

Re: Something wonderful has happened
The goal of the thread is research, as I said. They don't really have a proper topic, or it is completely random/stupid. What matters to me is the several first posts that the thread gets. That is all I need (well not really, but nothing else is needed from the thread), and I'd rather turn the thread into something good than abandon it afterwards.
You have to admit though, the song is too damn catchy.
PS: I don't actually spam these threads, the forum doesn't get "full" with them. And as you may have guessed, the research for this site is finished. I wouldn't get normal responses anymore if I made threads like this on these forums.

I've had my copy of Fairy Fencer F kicking around since it came out, need to check it out sometime soon.

I'm surprised system11 came in and didn't lock the thread right away.

Seriously, thank you: I'm not sure I can reasonably defend why, but your response to the subject heading just gave me all sorts of giggles. Sometimes it just hits you, I guess. But thank you anyway.
Re: Something wonderful has happened
Idgi. It is, in fact, actual research.
Probably because the contents of the thread, while being random as fuck, aren't on a bad enough level.I'm surprised system11 came in and didn't lock the thread right away.
