D: I noticed that they deleted everything except for the Sakura Flamingo Audiography preview tracks on their Soundcloud and then they later deleted the entire Soundcloud account but I had no idea that the twitter account and Sakura Flamingo web page were also deleted/taken down...

They probably had a falling out with either Klon/Sakura Flamingo, each other, or both. We'll see if they get erased from the credits of the collection.

Even in their second incarnation, Milestone is still an incredibly shady company.

This makes me wonder whether I should grab Sakura Flamingo. I've never played a Milestone shmup and while I haven't heard good things about them it might be my last chance to grab them for the time being.

So does Klon mostly consist of Milestone ex-employees then without the president (since he got arrested for violating some rights with his Bio Energy company in Taiwan) and possibly that Roger guy that was blamed for the demise of the company on their webpage? I was under the assumption that Klon was just an external company that bought the rights to Milestone's IPs?

I believe so (specifically their Sakura Flamingo division), and the biofuel company was in Vietnam.

Sakura Flamingo IS Milestone, minus the offending employees. Klon is just the company that agreed to prop them up and publish their games.

From a post on VGMdb
Via Ko Hayashi & Tadayo Aita,k.h.d.n. official spokeswoman (@gojarudegojaru) twitters, 'k.h.d.n.' will probably take a hiatus from their activities in its name for unknown period. i'm shocked! They announced Karous OST and their private (doujin) CD in Japan M3,but would cancel them At the same time Klon Co.ltd, their company, will close its shooting game section.
It's over.

No more porting Radirgy-till-the-end-of-time.

Or maybe not; with Milestone there's always hope [of another port of Radirgy]!

The original was enough, every port just makes me feel a little sick inside. At least port Chaos Field or something.

With only 1 month to go until the release, it's fairly safe to assume that the master had been finished and had been sent off for final approval/production. So I would hope that it still sees the light of day as their last shooting project to see release (I'm really excited about playing Mix Mode).

Doesn't surprise me at all, the 3ds (not) ports were absolute garbage, grindfests nearing mobile gaming shenanigans to extend the already limited content. Still sad tho, if they'd focused more on pc quality ports this wouldn't have happened.

Well, usually deadlines are not met in the gaming industry. More likely they were not close to finishing it.

I hope I am wrong though...

Well, if its any consideration, at least the SFA collection on the 360 is still on the way (hopefully), the xbox page isn't gone, and you can still pre-order it from P-A.

We also have a complete Achievement listing for the game (posted in the thread about the SFA collection).

Which means little. There have been 360 games with full achievement lists revealed that still ended up being canceled, like the US release of Phantom Breaker.

They really did everyone a favor with that one, Phantom Breaker is terri-bad.

I'm guessing SFA will make it out the door, but may never get more than one print. Better preorder this time around!

You guys take that back about PB (you dare speak ill of it ACS, seriously?...>_>), its not cancelled to me though, its pretty much more than likely vaporware at this point, and I don't even know if the publisher that didn't even bother putting it out to market is still around. The game still exist in some form anyways in English [AFAIK it was testplayed at a con a long while back and some reviewers were given review copies of the "full game", so yeah].

Well, other than that, getting back to the topic, hoping SFA still comes out in one piece, no pun intended.

Some vestiges of them are still around, but haven't been updated in ages, so...

Phantom Breaker was a weird one, though...as you say, supposedly a handful of copies are floating around out there, and they even had LE stuff lined up, so it really must have gone belly-up at the eleventh hour.
