Mushihimesama - original vs updated

Post by Spyke »

Hi.

What does the PS2 Mushihimesama have that the X360 Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 doesn't have?
Do I need to add the PS2 release to my collection even though I have (and love) Futari 1.5?

Mushihimesama and Futari are completely different games.

On the other hand, if you have Mushihimesama's X360 port, there's basically no reason to get the PS2 port. The only difference is the arrange mode is slightly different, and the X360 port has much more accurate slowdown to the PCB.

mushihimesama HD's arrange mode is harder because it clears your bomb stock when you autobomb ("you're not supposed to autobomb harhar")...instead of just 1 bomb like in the ps2 mushi. it actually makes a difference for my playthrough although that final boss always wrecks any chance of my 1CC. reminds me a little but of espgaluda's final boss.

there's also the new max mode on the 360 ver. too.

Note that the Mushihimesama on 360 (original, not the sequel/Futari) is region locked to Japanese consoles.
The Matsuri/1.5 for the first game (which came out after Futari on 360, and was one of CAVE’s last PCBs) is DLC via code only, so if you get a copy make sure it has an unused code. Mushi 1.5 Ultra Max looks like this

Not enough bullets. Needs about 3x more.

Interesting thanks. I wasn't aware of the different types.
My only copy is the 360 Futari v1.5 version. I must look into the Jp mushi version too maybe but pass on the PS2 original.

Or on the other hand I could just throw some more love at the one I have already! ;)

Maybe an Ultra patch?
