Guide on how to make a manual scart switch?

Post by DaftenDirekt »

Well... after wasting good money on scart switches that either did work until recently, didn't work at all or seemed to be dangerous to electronics that were hooked up to them (like the Hama 100s)... Seeing how it became incredibly hard to find a good switch, I've decided to try and build my own. Only problem is - I don't know enough about electronics.
So I wondered, since there are people on this forum who seem to be knowledgeable about such things, if there is someone willing to share some information. The idea would be to make a how-to guide and list what parts one would need and where to find them so that anyone can build their own, since I didn't find any on the net,
It should be a manual one and plain simple. Preferably it should disconnect and connect all 21 pins of a scart socket to another one without any unnecessary mumbo-jumbo. The number of scarts should be variable.
Thoughts? Ideas? Contributions?
