Sony PVM-20M4E Defect

Post by Suge13 »

Hello Guys

I got the said item free the other day, now I know it works but as you can see from the pic there is this overlaying rainbow effect.

This is how it looks like when on the highest brightness but '0' brightness you can make out the rainbow effect in the text.

My question is if there is anyway of fixing such an issue and if so please advice, thanks.

Looks like purity, the yoke and magnets have probably moved around somehow.

Have you got 75ohm terminators on the output?

Doesn't look like purity or a yoke issue at all to me.

Is that not more or less impossible to fix on a CRT? If so then that wonderful thing is only good for parts.
