Playstation 3 | PS3 - Recommendations

Hello there,
The search engine didn't show up any proper results, maybe I'm just too stupid to use it properly or, besides of shmup recommendations, there really isn't a thread like this.
I like the general recommendation threads for various consoles of our forum and I thought now where the PS4 is on the market and the Playstation 3 is on its last breaths a thread for game recommendations would be neat.

Maybe I should collect all the games you recommend and put them into a list for the start post, that would make things easier.

So, what games, available on the Playstation 3, both digital and retail can you recommend? Why do you think someone should play these games?
