shmups forum instability (connection and database errors)

Post by Dave_K. »

Is anyone else getting these "Connection Refused" msgs, or PHP cannot connect to databse errors at least a couple times a day while browing the site? It seems to have been getting worse the last month or so...

Yeah I get those. I figured it was from excess traffic.

I get those occasionally. The forum was extremely slow for me for some time as well but seems to be working well atm.

It's on a shared server, quite a busy one. Seems to be cyclic, gets worse for a bit, then they upgrade or kick off a problem customer and it's ok again.

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/forums/public_html/forum/viewforum.php on line 64

When you get the database error you really have to go back.
When you get the page cannot be displayed simply press F5 (refresh)
