I am empathizing. Shits happening to me too. Hardly shmupping, hardly listening too music, hardly watching the shows i like. Inbetween jobs, and its becoming ballbuster.

Getting a bit too hung up on this? Not being a dick; honestly best advice is just be happy you didn't burn out something you enjoy. Square away the real life things, which matter way more (seems like you know this bit), and enjoy the fact there's something to look forward to when you're done (perhaps not the bit you've got yet). There's plenty of people that burn out their joys in life or simply fail to find reasons they enjoy [for themselves] to get through the necessities of their day to day.

Don't get me wrong, it is not always easy, but hopefully you'll find it rewarding when you get back to it.

Although some previous comments may come across a bit harsh I think their point is this would probably be better served off topic in it's current form.

You may have phrased both title and first post better if you wanted to generate a specific discussion on the topic of some aspect of life balance and shmups as a shared experience ... Unfortunately, as it is, the thread appears to be posted with some hubris. Though some of us may choose/presume to offer advice or encouragement, you may well expect others to interpret it as a little self indulgent - not necessarily about shmups, or shared experiences with shmups, but rather about yourself.

Although you have missed something very important in your statement Skykid, and it made it look kind of idiotic.

And just for the record, ever since that username change, there haven't really been many threads worth an actual constructive post. At least for me.

Edit: Two things are making you post like this. First of all, selective memory. Since any normal posts I make are not better than the others, but any "/v reject" posts I make are worse, you breeze through the normal ones without noticing they exist, but remember the bad ones, making it seem as if they are the only ones I ever make. (ie saying that i constantly post like so) Second , is some term that I don't know. Basically, you are against something. Such as people posting threads like this, or (un)funny image posts. So you flame the first guy that does it, even though...he only did it once and never did it before? Thats just you seeing everyone who did these things through me.
