What the fuck. It is being reported on the news that he hanged himself.

This probly belongs in the dead pool, but yeah it's really depressing. Strangely I don't find it that surprising that he committed suicide. Maybe it was just me, but I got this oddly dark feeling when watching some of his more modern stuff. But he was a part of my childhood, and that's how I'll remember him. He will be missed.

Yeah, I'm a bit shocked yet not surprised by the news too, as is most folks in the dead pool thread. He's had depression in the past among other things (alcoholism and cocaine abuse come to mind).

Some of the things he said during interviews regarding it helped me through some of my own darkest hours, and its a shame he lost his own battle after helping so many others. A great actor, for comic and serious roles, and an inspiration for all.
