Arcade PCB Gaming TV Monitor setup recommendations

I recently invested in a XRGB mini for use with my supergun setup and need some advice regarding TV/monitors. I'm looking for a 27-32 inch LCD/LED TV or monitor that will look good with arcade PCBs when used in conjunction with the XRGB mini. This TV monitor will be used exclusively with my supergun and arcade PCBs and nothing else. Can I get away with a 720p, 60Hz refresh rate TV/monitor or should I get a 1080, 120Hz TV/monitor? Do you guys have any recommendations regarding brand or certain models or any other advice?

For arcade you have enough with a 480p.

480p is a bit soft - that's the Mini's fault though.

You'll only use 720p from your Mini, BUT HDReady displays usually fail in displaying even scanlines. So, yes you need a 1080p display with good scaling, ALTHOUGH you'll only use 720p from the Mini (if you want scanlines).

For 27" you have to get a PC monitor (Dell, Asus, Iiyama). For 32" you get a Sony TV. Check reviews beforehand to determin the display lag.

Got a KDL32W705B (same as KDL32W706B which is silver) and it seems great - use it for work and gaming.

Most proper reviews I found at the time (still?) were for the 42 inch version but it seems to be the same really - normally skeptical of this, but seems to be the case.

For something a little more, but well below top range price, the picture/blacks/colours seem great. Got all your smart tv bells and whistles should you need that too.

The KDL32W650 (2013) has got about 30ms of of input lag, and the KDL32W705 about 24-28ms from what I've read (not confirmed though).

About 24-28ms is the best input lag performance you'll get from 32" televisions at the moment.
It's the same with all 'famous' 32 inchers like the Samsung UE32F5000 or LG 32LN5300 (LN5400 in the EU).
The Sony 42" W6 & W7 are really the only sub-1 frame televisions on the market.

Several 27" pc monitors will offer superior performance, check the recent 'Display advice' thread in the Hardware section if you need ideas.

Panasonic TC-L32E3 / TC-L37E3 has 8ms of lag (tested myself with Bodnar lag tester).
Has to be this particular model (and size), it's an older model that's discontinued.
