Well, since there's a long lull in any new releases, I might as well liven it up by reviving everyone's least favorite subject:

When is Degica going to release DRM-free versions of this stuff?

Yeah, been not a lot of word on some of the shmups we've picked up. A few snags here and there that need to be fixed before announcement. Hopefully, we'll have more info soon. (Sorry about being away for a while, our shmups have been a bit quiet and I was needed elsewhere)

i look forward to new cave ports. All the ones release thus far have been quite enjoyable. Would love a pc port of Futari or Akai Katana.

Be prepared for a teaser video to drop late this week.

Does anyone want to take guesses on the game?

Two hints:

1. It's from a dev we have already worked with.
2. Not CAVE.

I want to guess Ginga Force, but a better guess would be something that already exists in English.

Or super out of nowhere announcement that Natsuki Chronicle is now a PC game

edit: Or maybe Samidare?

Samidare and Ginga Force seem the most plausible. Maybe G.Darius in some alternate universe.

There aren't any Triangle Service games remaining, are there?

I would be OK with that! But just getting more games on PC makes me happy.

I would love to have a definite version of this compilation with all the missing/newer arrange modes included and would get it in a heartbeat!
But I don't think Degica previously worked with Klon/SFL/whoever owns the Milestone rights now. :?

Ginga Force could be cool as well. In any case, I'll be waiting for the video instead of hyping myself and be disappointed later on if it turned out not to be a game I would want.

Ginga Force and Samidare seem likely enough I guess, and both would be appreciated.

Another Taito STG would be nice as well. Exhume the forgotten legend. Past rising again.

Keeping my fingers crossed for another Taito game too.

The Ray series in HD would be great but I'd dearly love SI: Infinity Gene. Please make it Infinity Gene! :)

Ginga Force would be nice as the 360 version had really poor framerate in places, would be nice to play with stable performance.

Speaking of Ginga Force, how does it handle its isometric sections? I greatly enjoyed Eschatos's normal difficulty but for anything above that, some of the 3D-like sections make me feel like the game is outright stealing lives from me with its terrible perspective shifts.
Is Ginga Force less in love with the crazy camera angles?

it has 3 or 4 sections (which are really short) plus part of a boss battle with a perspective shift.

deaths are not as important in ginga force as in story mode all extra lives are permanent for an individual level and you get loads to play with in score attack mode. you only play one level at a time regardless of mode so there isnt a 1cc to speak of. getting medals is far more important for score. if anything the training modes are more traditional in terms of playing set sequential stages.

So this Ginga Force. It's about redheads fighting off an invasion, right?

Well, the player character does have red hair.
But... I don't think the plot involved an invasion of any kind?

I like Ginga Force, but I hope it's Natsuki Chronicles instead. Want something new from Qute and the mighty M-KAI, and it's been way too long since it's been announced.

Also hoping either you guys or Hanaji pick up Momoiro Underground, because every damn site they sell it on right now doesn't seem to ship overseas :(.

I wonder if DBCS DLC counts as devs they've worked with? G.rev, Capcom, Eighting...

Nick never said it's one of the devs Degica has worked with for STGs...

Actually he didn't even say that the teaser is for an STG, though I assume it is if he's bothering to tease it here...

They worked with M2 (Koihime Enbu / Unknown Games, M2). Is it Garegga Rev.2016?
