Some of you guys guys know I'm a big music guy, and so I am finally working to record and release (at least digitally) a full professional album. I'm really near my goal, and just figured I'd reach out to the shmups community to see if you guys would pitch in?

Don't worry about it. You can travel from the Milky Way to Andromeda and back 1500 times before the sun explodes.

you should include part of the sample (under what type of music will it be) in your video. I watched your pitch video but as a potential contributer was sort of thrown off that you didn't play anything on the guitar on your lap nor use any background tracks.

If you're actually interested, there is already some info on that in the FAQ.Some-Mist wrote:you should include part of the sample (under what type of music will it be) in your video. Some constructive criticism, based on Establishing Shot:
Your vocals tend to be a bit flat. Voice lessons can be very valuable, and not too expensive. I speak from personal experience - I have the same tendency.
The chord progression you chose is more-or-less cliched. It's well-performed, but kind of boring. Don't be afraid to go out of key for some interesting flourishes.
Finally, the electric songs on your site are far better than the acoustic sample you offer up. If you can work them into something more than pure instrumentals, they'd be great. Have the scent of good Mega Man about them.

Yeah, it's definitely just a demo I pushed out to give an idea. It's most definitely one of those https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOlDewpCfZQ
Thanks very much for your thoughts on the electric stuff. Most of that is reserved for my band, Viking Funeral.
