Dinner and a Conversation

Post by Never_Scurred »

If you could spend an entire evening with one CURRENTLY LIVING person and pick their brain over a meal (with absolute, 100% honesty and transparency on their part), who would you choose and why?

My top pick for world events and current affairs would be Dick Cheney...maybe Donald Rumsfeld because I'm sure a convo with them shady muhfuckas would be like an entire season of the X-Files or some shit.

Christiane Amanpour because she's my favorite news correspondent and people laughed at her when she gave up Osama's whereabouts on tv, but a few years later the shit turned out to be accurate. It'll probably be 2 hours conversation, one hour me tryna fuck.

Currently living people only?

David Miscavige is my top pick. I want to know all the gritty details behind the scam that is scientology.

Bill Murray.

He's just the coolest, funniest guy and also seems to be pretty grounded. Every time I hear some story about him appearing in someone's engagement photos for laughs or serving shots of tequila at a bar in Texas with RZA and GZA from Wu Tang i just think "this guy is the greatest". I'd love to buy him a beer.

Liam Gallagher

Strictly speaking about the English language, he is my biggest enemy. Whenever I think that I might survive a conversation with an English person without looking like an idiot, I watch an interview with him and it's like I'm listening to Chinese. Quite depressing but one day, one day...

Bill Nye. Grew up watching him on tv and can honestly say that he was a major contributing factor in my fascination with science. Would be interesting to see if he's just as quirky and cool irl.

Courtney Love. To hear about everything, not just Cobain. She's been painted of something of a clown at times and hasn't always helped herself, but she's a survivor and I'd love to hear her tell her side.

Any political media pundit.

I want to see if they really believe their rhetoric, or if their just interested in pushing a corporate-plutocratic agenda, assuring them a handsome pay-checks.

My money's on the latter.

I unfortunately think that Orcish ship has sailed many years ago now. He seems to not even give a shit about his old films now. :(

I'd be happier just listening to him talk for hours about how he made Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles, and Braindead.

Yeah - it seems like he lost his signature movie look somewhere between Heavenly Creatures, Forgotten Silver & The Frighteners. Before you could tell without knowing anything about the movie that it was a movie from him - the childish humour, the grotesque & absurd scenes and plots, his one of a kind way to shoot splatter scenes...
I mean I have no problem with him having success & making big studio movies - I just wish he would go back to his roots and make a black comedy (which his first three films are in my opinion) just one more time - but sadly I doubt it will happen :? .

I think you know about "Good Taste made Bad Taste" and that it's made in a 6 year period on the weekends with a VERY limited budget. I read in an old interview that "Meet the Feebles" was filmed for the period of 6 weeks in an old warehouse in Wellington in winter time - he was not to excited about the experience  .

The movie I would love to see/hear "behind the scenes" stuff is Braindead / Dead Alive simply because I have seen none up to this point  . But in all you are right - I would love if he would give these three movies a special treatment but as drauch pointed out it seems like everything before The Frighteners doesen't even exist for him anymore :? .

My mother. Don't get me wrong, she's a good mum, but her expressed views, opinions, and versions of truths are so carefully crafted and complicated.. Hrm, maybe I don't actually want to know.

Good Ole Vlad Putin. Want to know what he's really thinking and what he's up to. Got more questions for him than I have shits in a year. I expect Cheney might be a bit mundane, tbh. Plausible deniability and all that, he probably knows less than he gets credit for.

All my favorite writers and poets are dead, but I guess I'd like to pick George R R Martin's brain. If only to
Spoiler
find out if Jon Snow is actually dead.

Has a nifty sideline in the modding scene as "Drakon" too!

Oh and for now I'd converse with Commander Stryker, he's been in more black ops than the entire cast of Dark Secret Video.

I would be kind of disappointed if he wasn't a huge narcissistic idiot. I think you have to make room in your brain for all that seed to pile up to change porno history. There's some new Czech dude that mainly just shows up with this one girl--I think his name is like Chris Hott, but I've seen him with some silly name like "Cumming" before--and he easily rivals Peter North. Instead of being buff and with PERFECT HAIR (North will not let ANYONE touch his hair), this dude is kind of fat with a hilarious speedo tan line. But man, this dude shoots some of the largest loads I've ever seen. Pretty fucking rad. I would definitely have dinner with that dude.

I would also like to have dinner with Steven Seagal, speaking of insanely arrogant people that fucking rule. I mean, who else has had over a MILLION hours of combat training? That's over a hundred years! Pretty impressive to completely destroy the laws of time.
