I have all the non euroshmups already, I'll just be waiting to see if any of the ones I already own go on flash sale/daily deal so that I can gift them to friends.

Since I love arcade style games in general, I'll just add some other arcade style run and gun shooters/brawlers/action platformers I'm fond of/have my eye on

(note all these games are arcade style with potential for 1cc and scoring, which is why I mention them)

Noitu Love 2 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/207530 - 60%
Metal Slug 3 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/250180 -40%
Bleed - http://store.steampowered.com/app/239800 -66%
Dungeons and Dragons: Mystara Chronicles - http://store.steampowered.com/app/229480 - 50%
Gunhound Ex - http://store.steampowered.com/app/273240 - 35%
Gigantic Army - http://store.steampowered.com/app/278930 - 50%
Aces Wild - http://store.steampowered.com/app/269230 - 65%
Volgarr The Viking - http://store.steampowered.com/app/247240 - 50%

Particularly recommend Bleed. One of the freshest run and gun shooters I've played in a while.

If you want an even better bargain for those games, I recomend putting them on your wishlist and wait for a even steeper discount on them. If that doesn't happen, buy them on their last day of the steam summer sale for the normal discount.

Aqua Kitty is like defender. The first couple batches of levels are pretty basic, but later on the game gets a lot more interesting. Just don't judge it by the first half hour. I like it.

Metal Slug 3 is currently 66% off (plus the Steam version has online co-op and leaderboards).

EDIT: Hmm, the online leaderboards appear to include credit-feeders and cheaters. Good stuff.

The top 200 scores are all over 800 million. Oh dear. (I think the maximum possible score is just under 11 million.)

It's a decent port. Bad by the standards people might have wanted, but it's far less awful and generally passable compared to the ports DotEmu is known for. If you don't own it on anything else, I'd say it's worth it.

As for the game itself, I like it a lot. Some people prefer MS1 and 2/X, but I also like this one a lot too, and I like how it gets challenging a lot sooner than those games do. The only thing I really dislike is that the vertical shmup section on stage 5 drags on way too long (IMO they should have severely trimmed that section down or axed it entirely), but other than that I find it pretty enjoyable the whole way through

Here is another shout-out to Bleed. Very solid and charming little game with lots of inventive stage and boss designs reminiscent of several Treasure's titles. Unlockable characters and arcade mode also add quite a bit of replay value. So go get it!

You're welcome. I purchased that myself on the first day of the sale, and I couldn't be happier. Game is amazing.

I remember this game from a long time ago. Wasn't it freeware back in the day?

That would be the original. The sequel is much more professional and refined game

It also has dancing robots and a locomotive that turns into a running mech.

Don't you dare lump Jets'n'Guns Gold in with Sine Mora just because they're both made in Europe. JnGG is leagues above Sine Mora, and you should feel terrible for even considering them to be the same.

This talk of Noitu Love 2 Devolution makes me wonder when the hell The Iconoclasts is going to be finished.

I've had Satazius and Bleed on my wishlist for a while now. I'll pick them up at some point during the sale.

EDIT:

Also, I would highly recommend checking out Super House of Dead Ninjas.

You don't deserve the life you were given. Relive it from day one, and gain a new perspective on this horrible excuse for an opinion.

Recommending Pacman CE DX+ (at least if you don't own a previous version of DX),
Oniken (NES ninja gaiden -style platformer)

Bleed and Noitu Love 2 are also in the SGDQ humble bundle with a bunch of other games (Dustforce, Psychonauts, Guacamelee..)
