Translation Assistance For Bunnyhop/Yotsubane Interview
Translation Assistance For Bunnyhop/Yotsubane Interview
I've been in contact with YouTube game reviewer/LP'er Super Bunnyhop about a review of Crimzon Clover World Ignition. After playing the game, he expressed interest not only in reviewing the game, but also in interviewing Yotsubane about his work on the game and the Japanese doujin scene in general. Basically he wants to get more context on the game and write an editorial about it's place within the doujin scene.
Is there anyone who would be willing to assist us with Japanese translation and arranging said interview? I think it would make for an interesting topic/video if we could get them together to talk shop, Bunnyhop seems genuinely interested in doujin games.
I'd do it myself, but my nihongo is dai-kuso.

It seems that Bunnyhop has found a translator. Are there any questions that any of you would like to ask Yotsubane about World Ignition or the Japanese doujin scene? I can try to pass it along.

It would be nice to get word on if WI's Arcade modes are arcade perfect ports or not. I expect they are, but very few people here have the ability to compare the two versions.
Any news on new projects?
I also want to know his high scores.

I'm curious to know if Yotsuba plans to resume working on Garukilla once everything to do with Crimzon Clover settles down.
Re: Translation Assistance For Bunnyhop/Yotsubane Interview
Please ask him why he allowed Crimzon Clover to be crippled with DRM and whether he really understands how piracy and digital distribution works. In the nicest way possible of course.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

The usual what are his favorite games and what influence him when making CC.

We'll see if we can make it happen. So far though, we haven't heard back from Yotsubane.

That seems plenty obvious from just playing the game.Domino wrote:The usual what are his favorite games and what influence him when making CC.

The best one. Does he know if there is going to be a physical release of World ignite?? At least in japan.
And if it is going to be released on other platforms other than steam.

Re: Translation Assistance For Bunnyhop/Yotsubane Interview
It's published by a company that apparently makes most of its money selling Steam wallet vouchers to customers in Japan. Do you really think they're going to release it on a non-Steam platform?

The review is up!
Bunnyhop on Crimzon Clover and Doujin Scene
It's a fantastic review and a nice overview of the Japanese doujin scene. We mostly know about this stuff already, but it's nice to know that there's a video like this for newcomers to get a positive impression of the genre. Check it out!
Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to ask Yotsubane about the above questions before the video went up, but I'll keep them in mind if I get another opportunity later.
