All these 20M+ scores make me feel bad after busting my butt to barely scrape out 15M. I'm such a kusoplayer, lol -_-. I do feel like I'm getting better at shmups, though. I went back and revisited other shooting games I haven't played in a long time and felt much more competent at them.

Only had a few hours to play this week, so I couldn't get much accomplished. I usually play this game for survival on 360 normal with the standard Judge Spear and I really love it. But god damn the arcade mode bullets are just unreadably fast and hard to see. Even Psikyo stuff feels more manageable for me, so I can see why the console version goes with a different default setting. Maybe if I had more time using MAME or something instead of full restarts I could do a bit better, but I'm not really enjoying this particular way of playing RF so I think I'll go play something I actually enjoy instead. Cheer's to you curly mustached bastards who had the patience for this one, there are quite a lot of impressive performances up in this thread

Really depressed that this didn't clear. Total fluke death during the second form of the last boss-- had 2x bombs ready and waiting for the final phase too.

Subsequent runs didn't even come close to this one. Probably won't be able to clear before the end of the play week, which is kinda sad.

I too think that 50mill is rather trivial for a full week and I expect the top scores to be at least in the 52mill region, maybe even 53mil.

Unfortunately I only had three days to play this week since l'm on holiday. I would've definitely aimed for 53mill otherwise. Too bad for me, but good luck to all the others!

I only wanted to beat an ages-old personal best done on the PCB before I sold it nearly a decade ago (48.1mil ALL), and I got it done a little quicker than expected. Quite pleased with the score, but I won't be pushing it any further, as I'd need to stop being so erratic in stage 7 at the very least for that, along with incorporating some ridiculous grazing in places. Playing by the STGT week-duration restriction, but without the pressure of performing for a team, is quite fun (I did the same for RF2 and Gokujou Parodius a while back).
I expect some of the master players in the tournament to beat this score though, so good luck to them (and everyone else) for the end of the week!

Ugh this run...Died twice at beginning of stage 3 being stupid and really wanted to reset, but continued on and made it to 6. I shouldn't have died at 6 either, but oh well.

Way too easy to make mistakes chasing after medals lol. I think I'm done for now, all that Stage 7 practice for nothing . Ok for 3 days I guess.
