Male Jamma Edge in Project Box ?

Im interested in making a project box for my UVC but this would involve cutting a hole for a male jamma edge to poke out but im unsure on what would be the best way to do this ?

Any ideas

I mounted the JAMMA edge, with small bolts, to the bottom of the lid of the project box, protruding out. Then I clipped some of the box away with small "end nipper" pliers so the lid can be placed flush on the box.
