Scart cable variance

Post by EmperorZelos »

Hello, I use a framemeister and I have some minor issue which is from differens in scart cables.
One cable has sync issues with the framemeister but shows great colours
The other has no sync issue but is alot darker.

The one with great colours has capacitators on each of the colour pins, nothing in the composite one and doesn't seem to be grounding them.

The sync capable one has no capacitators but ground each of the colours and composite with what I can read as a 750 ohm resistor to pin 18.

My question is, would a hybrid of these get all of them? THat is, I guess here, I ground the sync/composite pin with a resistor of the same sort? But keep the rest same?

Here are pictures of it to show the contrast.

Probably you already know this and it won't help to fight the underlying cause of your problem, but by adjusting the AD level you can bring up the contrast with the one cable and by adjusting the sync level perhaps remedy the sync issues with the other.

I did try that but none really helped, though by playing around with different cables I found the issue. Resistors and capacitors were needed for my gamecube one nad once I had, it was all good.
