Shaky screen with iScan Ultra and 240p Consoles
Hey everyone, I recently decided to try finding an external linedoubler to combine with an SLG for my LG HDTV. I picked up a used iScan Ultra for cheap and set it up tonight. Unfortunately, I'm having issues with certain consoles. The Ultra outputs video from my NES, SNES, and Genesis with a horizontal shake across the upper portion of the screen. The Ultra handles output from my N64, GC, & PS2 without any shaking. This shaking occurs using a vga cable, vga to component cable, and DVI-to-HDMI cable. When the output is in DVI, the whole image shakes slightly. I tried fiddling with the sync settings to no luck. Anyone have any advice on what I can do next?

I forgot to mention I'm using composite output from my NES,SNES,Genesis,N64,GC. PS2 is outputting through component. After I submitted this thread, I hooked up my old CRT PC monitor to the Ultra. The output from the 240p consoles except for the N64 shakes the whole screen slightly.

I don't remember having any problems with the Ultra when I had one on hand. As far as I know Crafty+Mech has an Ultra at home, so maybe you can drop him a PM or mail to check with him.

Thanks Fudoh, I PM'ed Crafty and got a bit more info. Sadly, I haven't been able to resolve the jitter with the Ultra. According to the pcb, my Ultra's mainboard is Rev. C for future reference.
I did get a chance to try out the Ultra on my mother's cheap Coby HDTV. Interestingly, it performed the best out of my old Apple Studio Display CRT and LG LK430 TV. There was a slight amount of jitter over the whole screen with an occasional pop of horizontal distortion near the top of the screen. I'm assuming the 240p consoles are causing the Ultra to output something the TVs/monitor doesn't like, and each one is handling it differently.
