I need help remembering an Xbox Live Arcade game

I need help remembering an Xbox Live Arcade game I played on my friend's Xbox 360 many years ago. It was a shmup where you play as a futuristic looking dune buggy car and you progress through levels destroying other ground vehicles and aircraft. You could move forward at your own pace and could drive backwards too, you weren't limited to a certain range of motion. Does anyone know what game it is?

Sounds like Assault Heroes. Fairly early XBLA title if I remember. It also has a sequel. There's also Gatling Gears, but that's a bipedal mech you're playing as.

Definitely sounds like Assault Heroes (or its less inspired sequel).
That was a great title for the fledgling XBLA back when the 360 launched. I remember great anticipation surrounding its launch. The developers had to work with a very small MB limit on XBLA back in the early days, so they managed to get quite a bit of gameplay and graphics into a small package.
