Well if it's on Atomiswave, I could care less since we'll never see a home port of it unless it's a fighting game, of course. We never got Dolphin Blue, did we? And that was pretty close, in terms of gameplay, to the whole MS series.
As far as I'm concerned, until Sammy gives us some Atomiswave console ports that aren't actually cookie-cutter fighters, they can take that hardware and shove it.

Considering there have been no leaked screens of MS6, and the game's been rumored since what, 2003, I'm saying this Metal Slug is going to rock all kinds of ass, hard and flabby.Valgar wrote: The question is will they redraw any sprites?
I have definitely been hyping this baby in my mind for a long time.

damn dude, your hardware turnover rate is extreme. You said atomiswave was the second coming 2 weeks ago
edit: oh, I just read what happened on ng.com. Too bad, man...that's why we use paypal.

maybe it's going to be that Metal Slug 3D that's been in the works for a while now... boy does that look like a disappointment.

You're arguing for a universe with fewer waffles in it. I'm prepared to call that cowardice.
Somehow, I think Metal Slug will have just a tiny bit more pull over the console crowd than Dolphin Blue would have.dave4shmups wrote:Well if it's on Atomiswave, I could care less since we'll never see a home port of it unless it's a fighting game, of course. I have wished for an exciting and sophisticated Fist of the North Star fighting game since the dubbed movie blew my 15 year old mind (bear in mind that the 80s had just happened) so long ago. I saw it on a big screen and the noise was incredible, especially when Lynn did that psychic contact with Ken thing.
Gawd, it could be so freaking cool. I imagine it'd be a cross between KoF and Weapon Lord, but with many more frames of animation and rated 'E' for 'exploding heads'.

I'd like to see it in true high res, but I'm sure it'll be low-res scaled like a lot of other Atomiswave games... which is bad.
Metal Slug 3D... what a joke. I saw a video of it running at last years TGS... it looked like a gigantic turd.

Theres going to be a MS6?
I havent seen a MS game of any kind in arcades for about 7 years now. I got a chance to play the first metal slug game at Chuckie Cheezes when I was 4 and again at sleeping bear dunes in 1998. I still love the game and hope the newest one will keep the old style instead of 3D.

Huh! Ralf and Clark...that's kinda cool, but I wouldn't have minded them bringing back Nadia. These stats are weird; Ralf and Clark are identical, and Fio and Eri have the most power? And what's defense good for if you're a 1-hit wonder? Don't know if the game will recapture the old glory, but I'm interested in seeing what they do with this.
