Wonderful show, just finished season 2. I love the Twilight Zone vibe to the way the stories are presented. All I can say is it's about time for something like this, and some competition in the same "genre" (probably on Netflix since some of the content is racy) seems inevitable. Some episodes just feel like getting punched in the gut repeatedly to watch though, like "White Bear". If you're not familiar with this show, you're missing some of the best sci-fi in years. I like that the technology in each episode is "might as well be modern day" with just a few kinks thrown in (The first ep of season 2 kind of irked me though, once the bathtub/electrolytes came in).
If you're American like me, I guess you'll have to find a recording. Season 1 is on DVD (in PAL)... you can stream from the site but it's region locked.

Re: Black Mirror (BBC4)
I recommended this to someone a while ago in 'TV you've just watched' thread. Absolutely one of the best things on telly in ages. Particularly enjoyed the young lad's speech at the end of '100,000 credits'. (I think that's the title?)

Also just a note - it's not a BBC show, I think the beeb would struggle with some of the content.

Re: Black Mirror
Whoops, fixed that.
Anything associated with Charlie Brooker is totally worth checking out, but I especially wanted to point out "Videogames Changed the World" too. It started out like you'd expect an hour and a half video game documentary to, with a little more charm and wit than usual, but by the end I wanted to applaud. All the themes they touch on they have interesting things to say about, like women's issues, guilt in games and stuff. They redeem themselves including Braid on their list by stating that it's not actually enjoyable by the time you try to finish it. Also the surprise ending!

Re: Black Mirror
Kudos for the title. Lately I've been thinking of the way colours evolve throughout modern media (film, videogames, from CRT to LCD - frontlit, then backlit screens - and so on) and how technology has made us forgotten that daylight is unparalleled.
I see TWO seasons are on PAL DVD, and I have yet to purchase the Cracker box... or is the first season just split into two DVDs?

For those who want to see this, and I think if I can manage to catch it I shall watch it, This show is being brought over by Directv to the USA for their Audience network. Looks interesting enough that I want to check it out.
