shmupmame Service Mode , high scores are erased..... fix ?

hi guys i have a problem , im using shmupmame 3b and when Ketsui is attract mode for a while it automatically goes into Service Mode..........


why i dont know but if i press Tab and then goto Dipswitches and turn Service Mode off all of my high scores have been erased to default.


does anyone know a way around this ?


for example not going into Service Mode automatically

or

some how keep my high scores after going into Service Mode
