Saturn/PlayStation-to-Dreamcast adapters (Total Control)

I see the things are quite expensive (for devices that should be very enduring) - moreso than new Dreamcast controllers in fact. Since I expect to have more use for my Saturn 3D pad in Dreamcast vehicular games than in Saturn ones, I'd like to know if there's any drawback of using Total Control 3. Like, not working with some games, triggers being detected as digital, or inability to use analogue "stick" and d-pad at the same time (seems to be the case with 3D pad in Saturn games).
First of all, I want to know if Crazy Taxi is perfectly playable with 3D pad, then whether Metropolis Street Racer is.
