Blast city Jamma video problem Edit: I think Im screwed

Post by cathoderaze »

I dont know if I need to order connectors to get video or what to get Jamma video to my blast's Nanoa MS-2931.
So heres a video showing my problem. I don't even see a place on my Monitor chassis for RGB input... Hurray for probably having to buy more stuff for this thing...

VIDEO:http://youtu.be/uyDnneINkmU

Here's some pics of my monitor chassis. It doesn't seem to match the photos online of MS-2931's but the cab did have the big Bass fishing door brackets and a Bass fishing marquee. The chassis does not say Nanao anywhere I can see. Is this a replacement monitor? I spent a ton of money on this cab I can't afford a new monitor.... I don't know what I'm gonna do.

My sources tell me that is a sanwa 29e31s. maybe that info can help?

As I recommended before, very few people here are going to be of much help. I suggest arcade otaku or the blast city club thread at neo-geo forum.

[edit]

those chassis are 31khz only chassis. my advice, put a xbox 360 and dreamcast in there for some VGA goodness, assuming they have a VGA compatible video input.

You could look into JVS>Jamma convertors. I know people use them for Naomi cabs that aren't jamma standard. FrancoB makes them, you should ask.

How much was the cab and where are you located? Just curious.

I guess I could convert it but I'm probably just gonna sell it. I paid $800 and I'm in sunny Tampa FL.

don't feel bad. I paid $1000 for a blast city with MAJOR burn in, and a bunch of broken shit :)

if the machine is clean, and the CRT is good.. why not just swap the chassis?? I always see MS9-xx 15k chassis on forums sell for 100$ or so..

I recently got a blast for $300 delivered!, has issue with green but I got a few tips to get her running 100% 8) The cabinet is about 545km/340miles/7 hours drive away so I thought it was a good deal. I try to adhere to the arcadeotaku rule about buying cabinets: get them cheap and do them up, but need to strike the balance between what needs done and the price.

This was the cabinet a couple of weeks ago:

Now:

so that gave me more than a leg to stand on to haggle the price
And the rest:

So I can not complain..

Also got strikers 1945 pcb for $41 on the same purchase :)

So that chassis only does 15k? Will it fit right on to this Sanwa monitor?
