Re: Cagar's stuff
About time you got one of these up. You probably hate my guts but I'll put a word down anyway.
I'm quite interested to see what you can do with one-two. C++ has always given me headaches whenever I either attempted to learn it by myself or learn it off other people's projects (doing both of which is how I started with GM), and if you can do something significantly different from the normal build of it I might just be inspired enough to do something similar.
As for messing around with other people's games, not to honk my own horn but you know GMOSSE and Warbird both are made with folks like yourself in mind? The core is there to make it your own, and I imagine if you figured out the mess that was the internals of Trig Wars 3 Redux (and especially one-two's different environment) you'd be able to get your own shmup going in GMOSSE no worries. If I ever get around to putting in 2P support that'll be a step in the right direction for your PVP shmup I think.

Wow I'm pretty bad at this. A very aces game, though. I love me some Cave-esque shooters. Even though I'll never, ever clear them ;_;

You're doing better than me, I suck at both versions of Trig Wars.

I wish you good luck.
If you want something a bit more current than the January 1 build (it's a long changelog) give me a shout or meet me on IRC in about 8 hours.

Re: Cagar's stuff
In a nutshell: I find GM's timelines obnoxious to use versus having a single piece of code that exists *entirely* under your control.
It's also easier to search within it for single pieces to change rather than going through the UI.

Cagar wrote:Updated one-two just a little.
Changelist:
-Tiny enemy placement changes
-Tiny HP changes
-Tiny multvalue changes
-Changed final boss "shard pattern"
When you say "HP changes," is that up or down? This is the one of the only shmups I find I actively have trouble killing everything on screen.
