Original Virtua Fighter on the Saturn

Post by broken harbour »

I'm curious if the original VF on the Saturn ever came in a big long box like all other NTSC-U Saturn games. Was it only available in a standard cd-style jewel case since it was the pack-in game in the US? (I think it was the pack-in?)

I'm just trying to finish my USA Saturn game collection and was wondering if I should be looking for a long box version or not.

Thanks!

Edit: Corrected by Ganelon. I was confusing the Nights pack-in game with the US Christmas Nights promo disc.

I've never seen a longbox version of the original Virtua Fighter on Sega Saturn. I reckon it was because the port was too much of an embarrassment for SOA.

There were definitely US SS jewel case games. Off the top of my head: bundled Virtua Fighter, one variant of Virtua Fighter Remix, and NiGHTS with the 3D pad.

Another one was Virtual On Netlink Edition.
