3D emulatable shmups

Post by whity »

hello!
i have recently stumbled upon the brilliant arcade game 'zero gunner', it is spectacular. i was wondering if you all could help point out other 3d arcade games that are available through emulation.

ps. have you played it?

A multitude of "3D" shmups are emulated in Mame. Nebulas Ray, Brave Blade, etc.

EDIT: Fixed spelling error.

Try Metal Hawk, no polygons but has a 3D feel (loads of scaling and rotation). It's a good game, just make sure you set up the controls properly (I use the L and R buttons of my Saturn pad to go up or down).

use Final Burn for Galaxy Force II , ThunderBlade and AfterBurner, AfterBurner II.

MAME is also good for AfterBurner/II but not for GFII or TB

Metal Hawk is pretty good in MAME

No, how did you get Zero Gunner to work? I followed all the instructions that someone on this forum gave me, and I could not for the life of me get it to work.

MAME is good; it does do GFII and TB arcade perfect- right down to the tilt effect in GFII. It may not be so good if your CPU is slow.
Kinect? KIN NOT.
