I find that kinda odd and idiotic that coming from a huge shmups fan, you would labled one of the best system for shooters as pathetic and basically ignored the system completely. I don't know what's his reason are but its ludicrous to put Final Soldier in your top 3 shooters ever while calling the Megadrive pathetic.

I don't think it's overly fair to label someone else's opinion as idiotic to be honest! Personally, I can't say I'm much of a fan of the Megadrive for it's shooters either, Thunderforce, Aero Blasters, Gynoug, Musha Aleste etc. never really did much for me (a lot of the megadrive shooters just don't have a feeling of weight behind them in my opinion), though I must admit I did buy the thing for Hellfire in the first place so I guess it's not all bad

It's also worth remembering that eckychap has been hosting superplay vids, including ones that are damn hard to find, and has been a good source for shooters for ages (and there aren't that many sites out there)

I can't recall any sites that host such videos. I know ikaruga.co.uk had a directory, but I can't remember what it was.

Preferring PCE over Megadrive is one thing, calling MD pathetic is another.

Would a game like Alien Soldier have been possible on PCE? I don't think so!

You can go ahead and diss shooter-less systems like N64 or 3DO, but no self-respecting shmuppist should go without Megadrive.

Nothing wrong with favoring a cetain system/game, but its a whole diffrent thing to call a proven system pathtic and expect the Megadrive user to stay quite about it.
