Netflix 12 month gift cards on eBay - are they legit?

Hi all,

I noticed the 12 month Netflix subscription cards/codes on eBay.
Seems like a good deal since most have an average "Buy it now" price of around $30 which is a substantial savings over the standard $8/month charge.

Question is, are these legitimate codes?
Has anyone tried these?

I know Hulu gift cards exist in retail stores...but I've never seen any for Netflix.

There is a spot in your Netflix account info where you can redeem a "gift code", and also purchase one for someone else.

The FAQs for gift codes mention a couple of points to be aware of:

Can I buy a gift subscription for someone who's already a member?
Yes. Your gift of any amount will be applied to their current membership.
Can I buy a gift subscription for someone in another country?
Currently, gifts can only be redeemed in the country they were purchased.
Do gift subscriptions expire?
No. So long as the gift code remains unredeemed it will not expire.
How do I send my gift to its recipient?
When you purchase your gift, you'll have the option to print or email that gift to your recipient.
(US Only) How do I give someone a Netflix DVD subscription?
Any gift amount you purchase through the Gift page can be applied to a DVD or Streaming account.

The other thing you should look up (and sorry I'm not familiar with), is what eBay's guidelines are for these type of things. And I certainly wouldn't think of buying one with using PayPal or some other payment method where you're covered in case of a scam.

I bought one last year for $15. It is just about to expire so I might grab another. It was fine for me but I can't vouch for random ebay sellers.
