The M484GCS is a free open source game construction kit, which was originally designed for fast and easy shoot'em up creation. There is no programming required at all; everything is made using simple visual editors.
The program is not yet 100% ready, but you can already make high quality games with it and distribute them as "standalone packages" which can run on their own.
Some features of the program include:
- Horizontal and Vertical scrolling, either Auto or Push, with an optional "margin scroll" effect.
- Cutscenes and Static non-scrolling screens.
- Pre-made object categories such as "enemy", "bullet", "player", "player ally/part", "boss head" and "boss part".
- Advanced object system with cross-category Transforms and custom Scripts.
- Each game object has 100+ attributes, all of which you can change.
- Add sound effects, title music, level musics, and even boss musics.
- Both Keyboard and Gamepad support.
- +++ Lots more
Here is a short gameplay video of "Side Blaster"; which is a demo game that I made some time ago:

You can download this game here:

It's a quite basic horizontal shooter, but it shows what can be done with the program.
And in this video I make a simple space invaders game in 10 minutes:

And here we have an infinitely self generating game:

This tutorial explains how you can easily make these:

So, if interested then try it out, M484GCS is free and keeps getting better and better all the time.
