Problem with high scores not saving on PS2 Mushihimesama

Post by Jedah Doma »

It seems I'm at a loss of what to do. I've played this game and had many high scores, but I noticed, a couple of days ago, that the scores never saved. Even after I'm done entering my name, the auto save feature pops up to save my score, or at least I think that's what it's doing. I've tried putting in my name, then after it supossedly saves it, going into the options menu and saving the information again manually. I turn my PS2 back on, and what do you know, all the scores have reset.

Anyone know what might be going on here. I have no problem with Dodonpachi Dia Ou Jou saving scores, but this game just doesn't seem to like me. I'll still play the hell out of the game, but it would be nice to have all my scores saved. Thanks for the help in advance.

There are 2 sets of ranking boards, Todays high scores, and All Time. Todays high scores get reset whenever you boot up the game, but the all time scores don't. When the scores start displaying you have to keep hitting a button to first cycle through all modes for Todays scores to get to the All Time scores.

Ahh, thanks. I guess I didn't hit the button enough, or read the text that said "today". Thanks again for answering my dumb question.

heh.. it'd kick ass if it'd actually use the PS2's build-in calendar and keep track of what day it is, in case you decide give your frail PS2 a break. ;)

but yeah, Mushi was a pretty bad port (let Arika handle it next time, shitheads..) but it wouldn't be THAT terrible. XD that's something a bargain-bin game like Chaos Field would do. ;D
