What number are you?

Post by Mero »

I'm member number 4020, which means that the forum is attracting new members now at a significantly faster rate than when I joined roughly 4 and a half years ago. Woooooh! :o

I think we'll break 10k members before the end of the year.

Actually, you are number 5463. At least that's what the path shows, when I open your profile.

I think he's going by the full members list. Difficult to wade through by GUI but putting "?start=number" at the end of the Members List page is a good start. I put in Mero's number and went backwards from there as his join date is later than mine by a few months. As to why the number's different in the IDs, I'd say it was deleted accounts or something like that.

I'm 5310, or 3875 by the members list.

I've been demoted :(

Ha ha, I'm definitely 4020 when the members are sorted by join date (starting with the oldest,), maybe you have it set to another criteria?

Edit: Yes BPzeBanshee you're right :)

Edit2:You can go to whicjever page you want of the full memberlist with the "go to page" link near the bottom right, fuck going through it manually. :)

EDIT3: Not that it matters, but I don't see any number on my profile :?

I thought this was a prison.

WHAT DEFINES A SHMUPSFORUM POSTER? IT'S NOT HIS HOUSE, OR HIS CAR, OR EVEN HIS JOIN DATE. IT'S THE REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF: ENEMY COUNT. CONTROVERSY METER. BATTLE OF THE SOAP W/L/D RATIO. HIGH SCORES AND FEEDBACK AIN'T SHIT BUT A BUNCH OF DICKS. HERE, THE MIGHTY RULE.

If the site admin's profile URL is listed as #3, then who's #2 and #1?

There's one account for "Guest", and probably a deleted test account as well.

It's impressive that this site has lived since 1997. Anyone here from that time who is active today?

Nobody. It was rebuilt (and messages lost) at least once. It induced a panic for some users.

Now I'll forever regret lurking for one or two years before enlisting.

I think this is the 3rd iteration of the forum. I think the first one I joined was in 2002.

EDIT: Sorry guys, couldn't resist. I am number 36. And I used to post on the old forum, after lurking forever. Which means, yes kids, I am really goddamned old. Now get off my damn lawn.

#62 on the list, #64 if you go by profile numbers. I came over from the earlier version of the forum (and a surprising number of those users are still around.) I think I showed up at the old version of the forum sometime around 2003.

Same here. #17. Basically everyone in the first hundred are so were just migrating over from the old board back when that happened.
